Thanks for the help guys. I guess it's not that big an issue to create new fur, might be the better idea anyway so i can add in a slight variance.

I was wrong, i thought there was no issues. I moved my model into place and the fur is messed up in the render. What the issue is, i need to scale the geometry and of course the hair doesn't scale...

Sigh, i just wasted an hour trying to resolve this, it was history on my geometry. I was positive i deleted it but there you go!

I might be missing something but this is giving me a headache. I have some fur attached to geometry. I need to animate the geometry but the fur doesn't like it. In particular rotating my geometry...

I'd say, don't waste your time on books, buy some points from here and download some of the tutorials, it's a much better way to learn. There's some amazing tutorials at Simply Maya.

That's a fiarly big job you're asking. Have you tried modelling it yourself?
