Load Rotoscopes???

Hi all,
new member. I've been involved with 3d graphics for about 10 years now and have never used maya!
I have to learn now.
How the heck do I load rotoscope images to use as reference when making a model.

Get your footage as a series of images, then create a camera, set its settings to suit the cam used then import the footage as an image plane (look though the cam then think off hte top of my head its image image plain).
