ripple effect

Hi there SM'ayans

ok how do I make a center of a ripple effect, kind like when you drop a drop of water in a pond or something

my best guess is a nurbs plane and I select circular UV's and drag them up and down witha diminshing radius, pretty silly, primitive and retarded too, eh?

This one's easy.

Use a wave deformer. Pick your plane object, then choose Deform > Create Nonlinear > Wave.

To get it to animate, animate the wave deformer's offset parameter.

Remember to set the amplitude greater than 0 if you want to see anything. user added image
