Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

New to maya :)

Hi all

Im going to start making a head model, as im new to maya ive been watching various video's for tips etc.
a lot of people use the front and left picture method to design there model around, so is this the only way to do it or are there any other methods?

I wouldn't call that a method of modeling, it's just using guides. There are indeed different techniques used in modeling but the modeler will still most likely have some references.

Best way is to focus on areas that require certain edge loops, like the eyes and mouth. There are lot of references online that can help you out.
