yes Im working on a bit map for the sky. How do you add depth of field? is there a motion blur on the camera?

That's the goal. In the camera attribute editor you have:

Focus Distance - controls the distance where the objects will show up sharp.
F Stop - Behaves like an iris of a real camera. Small number means large iris and thus narrower focus area (making the objects outside the focus distance more blurred).
Focus Region Scale - not sure about this one, but i think it's for fine tuning the focus area.

Thanks for all your help Kbrown. first scene ive done like this in maya. learned alot from it.
