Another update, now with some specularity maps painted, and also changed the translucency from a general transl... into painted maps.

note: I only made the spec map for the face texture, not for the top of the head, ears etc..

It looks good, but IMO It looks like a human with pointy ears. Maby his features should be more delicate or pointed to make him look more...elf like.

its looking good but you might want to tone down the specularity on the head just a tad bit...looks a little like plastic, other wise its looking pretty nice...you should shape the neck up a little bit..its kind of takes away from the face : )

ransick : currently I am trying to do different kind of hair for the model, but I keep running into trouble, thats why I havnt posted any images for a while..

I am trying to figure out how the new Hair system works, and if you ask me, it sucks bigtime..

Finaly an update!

Ok, so I got tired of Mayas Hair system, and I bought Shave and a Haircut and it rocks!!

Now here is the beginning of hair for my Elven male..

Cool. user added image It would seem to not cast shadows, though? Seems very flat compared to the model. Looks neat, though.

It is infact casting shadows, but this not not a HQ render, and I still need to adjust colors of the hairs etc.. but I will do that when I got the hairdo finished
