Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Particles and Animation

Hey

I know the basics of particles and all that stuff but there is one thing I'm not sure how to do.

How do I make the particles only start emitting at a specific frame, not as I press play?

Thanks

You can also set the start frame under Time attributes to not start until the proper frame. This way the whole scene won't even try calculating and particles until that frame.
