Maya 4.5, 3ds import doesn't work!!

Has anybody tried the updated 3ds import plug in for maya 4.5??? I have tried a few times, I am sure its the correct version, but when I click on the "load plugin" box it gives me some kind of error saying that it can't find it. I posted the same thing on CGTalk, others had the same problem, but no one had a solution!! Please help. I would appreciate it. THanks,

Thanks alot, I am really stumped on this one, Also I know it works for some people, but I did try to use the 4.0 plugin at first, before I unloaded it and tried the correct version when it came out, so I am wondering if that has anything to do with it. Let me know how it works,. I appreciate it,

Wanted to let you know that AliasWavefront, updated the plug-in, and it works! Although, its not anymore reliable than it was in 4.0. YOu can find it at

and you have to maualy change the name and ad the .zip extention to it to open it. THanks,
