Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 1
This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

Fire Ball

Heres a quick comp that I've put together, its adapted from a tutorial form 3D world, i'm not entirely happy with the particles at the start so need to do some work on them.

As always any comments crits appreciated.

Looks pretty good. I agree the particles could use some work. It doesn't so much look like fire right now. It actually looks more like a smoky - gas substance. still cool but I don't think its quite what your looking for. keep up the work and I you'll get there.

Yeah man. I was kinda goin for a more gas/electrical energy look so the thread might be a bit misleading. Think i need more of a build up to the ball.
