ButtonImage Transparency

Hello! user added image

I'm currently making a GUI for a Maya plug-in,
and I am going to have some buttons on there that has to have
some transparent parts.
I know maya uses the #00FF00 green as transparent, but it looks like
i need a command or something to make it transparent...
cause nothing is happening user added image

If anyone know the answer to this, please tell me user added image
