if you have some really good lighting this could end up having realism to it.

If you could give me any pointers as to how to improve the lighting, as at the moment I have a 3pt lighting set up. Any help appreciated.

I don't have any light pointers, but I'd like to add that the model is great!

well perhaps a four-panel screenshot of your current light setup would help for tips.

Also, are there presets for different types of hair etc? Please assist.

Hey Clopper,

Very nice and sweet modelling user added image
I have never played with the hair system in Maya myself but i have played with Shave and a Haircut (Joe Alter)

https://www.joealter.com/

It's is a really nice plug-in...
However, if you go to the Help menu in Maya...I'm pretty sure you can get lots of info about the Maya hair system user added image
But I would recommend the S&H plug-in as I reckon it is very straight forward... Apparently they used it in Kong user added image

Keep up the good work Man!

Nice model Clopper.

As for he hair I would go with maya fur (assuming that your daughters hair is not too long) theres some good tutorials in the help files for it too that should get you going.

Good Luck
