Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

Maya 8.5 PLE?

Hi,

Recently, this computer had a whole bunch of blue screens due to some driver error that I couldn't fix, so I reformatted the hard drive (after backing up some data). However, I had assumed that it would be possible to re-download Maya 8.5 PLE, but I cannot find the download link from autodesk!

The only thing I can seem to find is the 30-day trial of 2009... Which I do not want. I want the version that I had before, which was an unlimited version (no time limits) but without some features like ncloth, fluids, etc.

Where can I find it?

I did a similar thing, and found to my frustration that the PLE is no longer offered. It may be coming back in the future, but right now it's not available.

(Thanks elephantinc)

Completely forgot to do a thread search, sorry lol.

I certainly hope they'll do an 09 PLE, but I wish they kept the 8.5 PLE cause now I can't do anything (I don't have 4,000 or 6,500 dollars to spend on it..)

The download link, thank you! However, I'm getting about 15 Kbps, so it's gonna take 5 hours... But whatever lol.. It's like dialup again, except I have fios! user added image

Don't you need a key from Autodesk to use the PLE? I can't remember exactly, but I think I downloaded that brothersoft link, but then I couldn't find a key for it. If you have your old key, that'll maybe work. Just speculating here.
