UseBackground Shader

Hi, Im trying to isolate a few things in my scene to save on rendering.

For a character I want to also have his shadows rendered/either with him or seperate.

He sits infront of two planes.

I put usebackground shader on these two planes and turned his visibility to o, reflections, etc off.

But this is what I get in Alpha... Is this how you are supposed to render to isolate shadows?

don't think the attachment worked, i can't see anything.

use mip_matteshadow

Not on my computer now but,

if I just drop the mip_matteshadow onto the background and hide my character, it will give me just my shadows?

I'll try that.

och, well my suggestion would be just as good (if not better) user added image
