Problem with splitting faces....

hello everyone,
i got this little but very disturbing problem with splitting faces, I saw this website's tutorial movie on it. As i watch it, everything goes so easy and perfect. As I start splitting my faces, it always tels me that the dot is suppose to end up on the edge (but I do end it up on the edge). I mean, the first split goes fine, and as I start deviding that face into other ones, it says it can't do it. All the settings are set to defult...
I'm going crazy... user added image user added image

If you have non-manifold faces on your model the split won't go over them. Checking the normals would be a wise idea: Display -> Polygon Components -> Normals (hit it again to hide them).

Btw, if you accidentally miss an edge while doing a long split, you don't have to start over. Just hit backspace to delete the last point...

There's a good explanation and illustrations of it in the online docs (F1 -> Glossary).
