How can I make this 3D grid.

Hi there!

I have been trying several things but can't come to a nice and pretty result.
I want to make a large grid in the shape of a round like Triangle.
Like this picture below.

The darker areas need to be taken out, so they become holes.

Here is another picture just to make things clear.

Whats the best way to do this sort of things?

Thank you so much for helping me! user added image

Create pyramid with 3 sides and 6 units(any unit to the power of 2 will do, helps with snapping to the grid) as length and delete the sides, then extrude in as much as you want then delete the inner face (for some reason mine had extra faces to delete). Then add some divisions as needed to smooth mesh and duplicate a bit..................dave

Thanks Gen and Stylow
On a side note I did look at putting in offset edges on the corner edges but it would mean having to change the offset for each corner at a time, time for a little question myself is there a node that I could have used to change all 3 off sets at once..............dave
