Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

Semi-Solid Liquid....

OK...i want to make some semi-solid liquid in the transparant tank. I want it to fill up and keep moving without it spilling over the edge of the tank so when view as a side close-up you see it filling then keep moving.

I also want to make a glass ball with the same style of liquid flowing around the surface of the ball.

Any ideas on how i could do both os these cos i dont have a clue.

I'm running 4.0 Unlimited, btw.

Here are a few clips of what i'm looking for, only in a sky blue/turquise colour. The first file is mostly the style i want. The third one is the style i'm after for the liquid on the ball's surface.

Well for the blobby one, I would suggest blobby particlesuser added image
(F1 > Particle render type > blobbies)

For the liquid in the cube, seeing how you only have Maya 4, you might wann check out this tutorial, it might help you:

Otherwise, a plugin called "realflow" would be perfect for that.

When you can get Maya 4.5 Fluids, you will be able to do that

Try the Glu3d. It's a great plug-in. I think it can simulate what u intended to do. And it is very simple.

Sorry all, had to delete a post.

The rules are specific folks, we cannot have people offering software for free unless it is liscensed as such.

Glu3D is NOT free, so please, don't post about offering a "free" copy, or we will have no choice but to ban you from the SM boardsuser added image

Sorry, those are the rules that you have agreed to in the beginninguser added image

Thanks!
