Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Added some stuff, did a bunch of renders, I think I will wait until after the summer tournament until I finish this (until I'm kicked out that is user added image ). I did some work on the background, but I'm not quite sure how I'm going to 'pose' the tank and if I will add some more tanks in the background (these things come in groups of 4).
And thanks Howard for showing how a real composition should be done.

Smoke dischargers, a periscope by the commanders hatch and some boxes at the back of the stowage rack. Other than that, only 'extras'.

Same here!!! H*ll YAH dude this is excellent. Throw a preliminary texture on the tank at least man, its not like you're gonna save any on render time! Looking very very good.

I cannot stop drouling. I love the M1A1. I have a progect in my head that I have not started yet. Do not do this to me, I have enough projects started as it is. I love the overall detail. I have always though about doing a generation one mech. Thick legs , bird type. A turret like the M1 with comander and gunner hatches. Two symetrical tow missile lunchers like on the bradley. All balistic angle like the M1. Have the comander out the top looking through binoculars. Just an idea I have had bouncing around.

Sounds pretty cool. Still the mech idea is pretty much the opposite of modern tank design (low sillouette) but it could look pretty cool.
