i think when you add a bump and a spec it'll look a lot better. I might make it a bit smaller and also look for an example online that you can use. at the moment it's looking a bit drawn on.

yeah, it does look quite drawn on, which is the problem, but I wont be able to fix it until the 27th when I get back from Californ-I-A (haha)....

[Edit] I have been pretty busy lately, so I haven't worked on it. I will soon though...user added image

Well, I'm attempting to learn mental ray a bit, considering it is (in large) a mystery to me when you get into GI and caustics and such...

so yeah, I was just testing some simple lighting, and its by no means the final (I don't like it much, haha)

Also, I will update later after I add some spools of thread in the drawers and stuffs

Well, I opened the drawers and stuff, but I'm not sure what else I could do to add to the effect. When I actually make an environment, it should make it alot more abandoned looking.
but either way, we shall see.

a bit of cobwebs. rust, and rot may help it with the abandoning feel

Ooh, I hadn't thought of cobwebs, so I will add some today!
[edit] I tried to, but it looks like crap, so I think I will find a different way... its hard to make nice cobwebs in 3D, haha....
I will probably update a bit tomorrow unless I get distracted, haha.
[Edit again]
I got distracted, haha.... I will update sometime soon though, hehe

You should keep the way the light comes in. I like it!

Also, you could add some objects in the drawers.

Keep it up!
