Problem with Merge Edge tool.....

I'm trying to merge these two edges....
user added image
...but I get wrong results... one of the edge seems to be flipped 180 degrees in the progress, connecting wrong vertices.... instead of connecting 1 with 3 and 2w4, it connects 1w4 and 2w3.... WHY??? user added image

have it reverse the normals and it will clear that up.

You can get it done with merging vertix's like mike sugest. you might have some little problems latter with something though becouse the normals might still not all be right. so if you go with mikes way.. which is nice ! remember to cheak your normals latter.

yeah, even merging vertices, you'll need to make sure normals match.... that's the same with most any command
