Surfaces from imported illustrator curves

Hey Guys.

I've imported a lot of curves from AI, and now a wanna make 3 surfaces from this. One from each "layer" of curves. How can i make a (polygon!?) surface, which has vertex points everywhere the curves intersects!?

Does this makes any sense and is this even possible?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Mikkel

I think you could but it would be of no use as all the curve surfaces are flat, what are you trying to do..............dave

I'm trying to create a sort of base surface for landscape modelling, which should originate from this diagram (collection of curves).
Does this makes sense?

Yes it does make sense but it will not work as you have it as there is no height in the curves all you will end up with is a load of polys on a flat surface. If you show me a example of the landscape you are try to model I will give you as many option in maya to do this that I can.................dave
