ok figered out how to use multy UV's. Its a test of 2 - 2048x2048 pixle texture maps. each with a difrent color. there are little lines of color in with the big strokes, thoughs little lines are 1 pixle wide..
oh and all the funny translucent arieas are becosue there is no texture asigned there yet.
Oh yes and the second texture map dosn't show up on the render !!! its on the neak. but it shows up on my display IN maya !!!!!!!11 so working on it still !!
Sorry this late comments but you have to know even if I don't comment untill now,I watched your model evolution and I have nothing to say only that is a very great work and I like it a lot.
Your model abound in details and it's realy a hellish character!!!

Danny Ngan from this forum got this mel script on his site which should help with UV mapping... I don't know how it works or how to use it yet... I haven't figured it out yet... I can't get it to work... but if you can it might help in the process...
Anita, yeah pure poly !! no CPS eather.. just smothed ! 12896 faces unsmothed, face count smothed 2 times.. is.. (remembering) 197,000 there about.. that includes both sides.. Thanks !!! yep going to try textureing it..
Thanks strarup, will look at them and see what I havne't bean over.. gets a bit difrent when your doing it for real and on a difrent model that is compleat.. LOL .. I WISH it was just a face in a tutorail ..!!
Ok got the multiple UV sets to work. Its a bit clumbsy but aparintly assinging a lambert or what not, only to the faces that are UV maped for the set works fast.
so hear is 2 - 2k quare textures maped.. one is for the face and there is one for the neak. just playing btw.. still need to unwrap the UV's good and really texture it.. Hell I'm hoping 2k texture is enufe for just the face.. !!! one of the final renders I hope to make 2600x3800 for print..
