Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

I have been wanting to join in a challenge since the last one I attempted - wow must have been 7-8mths ago, but I have found since then all have been 'out of my depth' and I was extremely dissapointed when I read that this months would be 'Animation' -
Don't get me wrong 'Animation' is ultimately what I want to do, but i'm so poor at modelling and some 'basics' of Maya that I wouldn't stand a chance of learning it all - never mind making a 'short animation' in time.
However since you have posted a couple of models, I can at least 'learn' more about animation, and have a go at making something half decent.

wav problems
Has anybody else had problems just importing the WAV files into Maya?
I get this message when I drag the .wav file to the timeline.
timeControl -e -ds true -s `sound -file "F:/Work/Maya/SM_Challenges/2004/July/kitchen_monster/sound/monstercrazy.wav" ` timeControl1 ;
// Error: cannot find file //
Please help?
