image plane/material/texture problem

i try and assign a texture to a material and then assign that material to a nurbs/poly plane, but it gets all distorted and i can't seem to figure out why and how to fix it...what should i do?...thanks in advance...

What kind of distortion are you seeing? Is it because your images are different sizes and you need to resize your planes to make them correct? Or is it because your 2dTexturePlacement map is distorted? Can you post some pictures?

Off the top of my head my thoughts are to make sure the images that you are importing in are the same size, or just adjust the plane size to make them the same proportion in the scene.
