Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Poly-Subdiv Problem

I've been modelling a character,

Somewhere along the line i've changed something, so when it came to duplicating one half to make the full figure, somethings gone wrong and it's got a shadow effect instead of the actual surface.

I've attached a screenshot so that you can see whats happening.

Any idea's what i've done and how i can fix it, because it's just so frustrating!

Cheers, Vicky

Hi Vicky

Is it a poly to subdivision problem as the post says or is it just a duplicate and mirror prob? Is it a poly object or SubDivision Surface?
