Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 1
This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

Compositing 2

Hi,
Have just watched both the 'free' compositing tutorials by Izzie. I really enjoyed the second one and want to work through it with Maya and Photoshop.
Izzie mentions that the files used will be available, but after a search of site I could not locate them?
Are they available?

If not (or even if they are) would it be cheeky of me to ask if there are any links to freebie small .avi/.mov files that I could use to create my own learning scene...
Regards Scraggy

Hey bud!

I just realized that myself... man I'm making this site look very UNprouser added image

I'll upload them to this thread when I get home from work tonight!
Along with the fire clipuser added image

I believe it is a Maya 4 or 4.5 scene, but you can make it yourself if you want anyway, as it is very simple:

One wall.
One roof plane,
One ledge made from lofting a funky curve.
One Pipe (cyclinder primitive)

That's ituser added image

Then just texture your objects to taste.

Everything else is done after each piece is rendered out in layers for AE.

Come to think of it, If I do not have that scene anymore, I'll setup a Maya 5 version of this SIMPLE scene, and upload that, as it will be smaller file size.

Either way, I'll upload the fire to this thread anyway.
(always good to have a little fire! hehe.. FIRE! FIRE!)

Here you go.

Unzip the file, and you will have my project directory.

In the root, is the fire clip.

In the scenes dir, are 2 scene files:

1 .mb for Maya 4.5 Unlimited.
1. .ma that you must IMPORT. (for Maya 4.0 users)

Enjoy, and sorry alluser added image
