Beer glass scene creation
This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

No IMDB is good but it doesnt give you the full run of someones details, as people can and do tend to bullshit a bit in this industry, IMDB has a few Jason Edwards' on there so I could be anyone of them and lie to you about what I've done....we all need a resume.....

Yea totally,

It was more of a casual conversation. They have known each other since Kindergarten Cop. But the resume is def something you need. Makes for interesting conversation when I describe what I have done for the last two years given it being classified. But everyone loves to know how to blow a hole in the side of a ship. Properly that is....

As for the camera I don't believe I mentioned before that the Alexa we were testing could do "true 4:4:4" and that is huge given the 60k pricetag on the camera. We had almost 60x of Zeiss Master Prime glass on set at some of the glass costing 35k. Angenieux Opitmo's as well. Craziness....

best

Just curious on thoughts regarding this event ticket to raffle my photos off and get more emails for my list. At the mo' I only have the front done. What could make it better past more info? Just trying to get ideas since I need to send this off to my printer in the next couple of days so my turnaround is Thurs. next week...

The theme I was trying to do was the ipod nano...

The other photo is from the live shoot last month. I know no one really does photography here but it allows me to get unbiased criticism...

Dude great shot. I think every artist of a sort enjoys photography at any level, myself included.

You should do stuff for photo references I'd be knocking at the door for some for sure!!

Todays Progress

So I decided to tackle my own bust. It is coming along but like always I struggle with the eyes and lids. They are my nemesis....

also a quick pic from a sword I did this afternoon.

The correct term for it is a "rapier"

Here is a snapshot from some Vue alchemy today. Amazing what you can do with that app. Now I just need to figure out the coastal macro in World Machine and then the RGB output...

Not to mention World Machine has some amazing erosion capabilities

Here is a Vue terrain imported to World Machine with the erosion applied. Unlike the previous Vue shot I didn't zero the edges to get the island look.

The heightmap is set to 1024x1024 and all the texture is applied through height and slope clamps.

The other is a Sycamore out of Speedtree. Still trying to sort out the branching process in this app. The tree is about 5,000 tri's with the branches and poly planes...

Other Assets

Here are a couple other shots...

All trees are kept in the 5-7k range and have LOD. Each branch optimized through the radial sweeps. The leaves are instanced off two types of leaf growth. The vines are done in C4D and the branches are deleted to reduce polycounts. The first oak pic has no vines while the last birch has them. Just wasn't enough of a upgrade for me to keep them in...

I have looked into the paint FX stuff but I am trying to keep the geo solid to import into engine. The stuff on the high end in Speedtree looks solid. Especially if you import your own leaf meshes.

Will have a look at your stuff.
