Rigging a Hinge

I've got a question about rigging a hinge. In the images below you can see the model which needs to be rigged. I have tried to rig it but I don't know how I can make sure the middle part stays connected. I don't exactly know how to explain it correct but I hope the images speak for themselves.

Right now I have got two skeletons each containing 3 joints. Both skeletons have a IK handle.
