Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Objects importing as single mesh. How to avoid?

I am trying to import this model into Maja:

but if I translate it into .obj format using Qick3D Pro and import it, I get the message that a single mesh was created, which makes selective shading of all the parts impossible.

How can I solve this?
