Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

severinianthony - May

Patches it is!

I started off by seperating the different sections before I lunged into UV layout; it went rather smoothly.

EDIT:

Estimated time spent:

UV: 6-8 hours

Texture: 20-22 hours

Normal mapping: 45 minutes

Just applied a checker to the horse...I dunno about the rest of you, but I think this looks good; I'm just going to keep it this way, and move on to texturing...:p

Thanks for the tips and link, Mike!

I'm going to head home and work from there; I'll be sure to make some changes!

Take care for now.

Legs joined to body; still tweaking the body/legs before I move on to the head.

Whilst running around in Morrowind, lopin' off some 'eads, I came across some tapestry-like banners. I've decided to keep them for reference when I get to texturing; I might try to mimic the tapestry-ish texture for the saddle-cloth on Patches.

UV layout progress on the head; I'll conform it to flow with the body shortly.
