This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

Laying out the UV's was the most work involved, I remember the modeling was fast, creating the textures was fun, rigging & animating was also fun. Yeah, the UV's was a long process, lots of work.
