No shadows being cast

I have shadows appearing on the default lambert shader (the mace) in this render, but none on the phong shaded objects that are meant to be metal weaponry. What am I doing wrong? Should I use another surface material?user added image

Is it possible to post the scene file? (.ma format) I'm having a hard time making out what's going on.
