Steampunks Challenge

Has anyone else entered the cgsociety challenge (apart from Kurt)?

...i have user added image

I thought it was a great topic so i've started a WIP.
Being Scottish my first thought was to do something close to home so i'm steampunking nessie.
The scene will be at the side of the loch where mechanical Nessie is being used by a bunch of guys to smuggle bootleg booze.

here are some pics

thanks everyone,

i started about ten days ago, its going quite slowly as i'm doing a vfx shot at the same time and also started learning zbrush yesterday user added image

...the vfx is going even slower than this, i started modeling for a shot but don't have a backplate anymore, so i need to film and model something new.

I feel inspired to do a frog or toad after seeing Arran's but i'm still pretty lost for an idea.

I'll post wires up later today. the body is/was nurbs and the rest is poly.

i'll maybe post some zbrushings here too.

I didn't even read what you were doing and my first guess was either Nessie or Champy, looking good so far keep it up!
