Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Baking projection in maya

hello ppl,
I am facing a problem with a project i am working on. I have projected a video sequence on a model tht I created in maya. The problem is when the chunks of the model moves, the projection changes(which is obvious). How can I bake it into a texture so that when it moves it carries tht texture along. I am attaching jpegs for a better understanding.

Just delete history and freeze transformation that should stop the texture moving..............dave

Why don't you just parent the projection node to the object that's moving?

Hey guys thanks, but I found a solution to it. Altough that solution creates another problem user added image, it shows cracks on the model(I have shattered the model using PDI plug-in and made them rigid bodies).I am attaching the image for a clear understanding. HELP!!*cries out loud*user added image

Create one without the shatter and one with then make one visable and the other not visable then swap over when animating.............dave
