maya finish to 35mm

I'm about to embark on a Maya project to be around 5mins long, with sight to finish to a 35mm film master. How is the best way to work?

I have been researching into the Decklink HD Pro video card, and whether I need a G5 and/or an Xserve RAID.

Information seems very vague, it appears though I can install the Decklink HD Pro on my Dual 1Ghz G4 Quicksilver at work, then work with the Quicktime codec that will come with the Decklink, allowing Maya to export at 4:4:4 Uncompressed and therefore play out from Final Cut to a DigiBeta or HD deck.

Can anyone clarify the process and how much I need to be spending, also whether it's better finishing to DigiBeta or HD for printing to 35mm.

Thanks
