massive battles...space ground..

how would you handl/make a massive battlescene with hundrets or even thousand of people or space ships... ?

is there an easier way to do such an scene without modeling 10 diffrent types...~ and to make 100 diffrent animations.. ?

like in the lord of the rings... or star wars.. ?

oh...

ok thanks for reply... i got both of them and currently i'm testing them... but massive seams to be the better solution...

so good luck to find one for free user added image
