Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Polygon Turned black

I freezed the transformations on an object and the object turned from grey to black(polygons show up black), the normals are fine, What can it be?

Also, why does an object that is mirrored or combined turn in to a object with jagged vertices, it is no longer smooth You can look at the pictures to see.

thank you for the help.

I think that you may need to check your normals and make sure that all of your overlapping vertices are merged.
