Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Setting Near Clip

Does anyone know how to set the clipping planes, or whatever they're called in Maya? It's really frustrating when I want to zoom way in and work on a small part of my model and have the thing hit the near clip and disappear. If I have to use a damn camera (lame) I'll do it, I just want to know how to edit this or turn clipping planes off.

Thanks!

Do they speak English in What?

Just above your view port you should see "view, Shading, Lighting, Show, Panels". Click on "view - select camera".
Then press control A to enter the attribute editor. You will then find the near clip plane under the camera attributes.

Later.
