Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

My sketch

I know I'm a late start but here I go. This bad boy is a massive lander with huge troop capacity. The massive legs are primarily landing gear but in a pinch the beast can walk around. Still pretty new at everything. Going to go with polygons. Any tips on how to build this the most effective way would be great. I always seem to have a cool model, but when I go to texture it things just don't work out. Thanks for the help, model starts soon! (oh yeah, it's a grasshopper)

el_newty: i love the look of your ThS-003 model! love the gun underneth... nice interesting spider shape.

babyduck: dont worry mate, you are getting better all the time, I love your ant.. maybe there is a nice metal shader in the shaders area you can use if you are not keen on the blue material you have? but its comming on well..

the color is not the problem, i am looking at light setting up and reflective qualities of material now. maybe i should use more than one point light. and i think the blues goes away and gets a layed shader ...
