some ears for you. Use references or if you cant get any ask somebody here!! But above all, use it, dont guess it and then comeback every 5mins and say 'hows this?' use the references until you gone as far as you can. When you feel you cant tweak anymore thats when its done!!

some guy knows what I'm talking about except I'm sure neither of us have a clue as to where the phrase comes from; a 'bob' used to be slang for a 'shilling' but i don't know if 'bob's your uncle' refers to money or , errr, Bob? It means everything will be fine. A quid? You must be from the states, cant see your details at the moment, a 'Quid' is also slang for money. We were once a poor convict country (I haven't a clue how it started really) with the 'poms' lording it over us  user added image So basically. 'you wouldn't be seen in it for quids' (eg) means you wouldn't wear it if someone paid you.

back to the work, some guy, your going to be an ear expert soon. You've been given info here that would have taken years alone (from Jay and a few others) given the same advice, yes I agree with Jay keep coming back and, like this, like this, but we all stress, reference, reference and reference again.., the mirror, a bit shoddy my friend, I cant get this picture out of my mind with you at the bathroom mirror researching your ear and then running back to the computer, its a killer:attn:

anyway, my advice again is referance all outlines from ALL surrounding outlines (if that makes sense), in other words, as they would say in a drawing lesson, block out the outlines first and go in with the details later, dam good work and a dam hard piece of anatomy. maaaaate

that's a one fine looking woman Jay has sent you.., stop gawking at that face and focus on that ear..

Jay: Thanks for the penned picture and the references. Those helped heapes. I'll be doing a lot of work today user added image

Mirek: I agree with me becoming an ear expert. if i ever get a project on them at school i'll ace it. Seeing as i have 2 days off i can afford to re-do the ear for a third time.

Matt The Man: G'Day Mate! "Crikey" a Chin-wag down-under is just as fine as a Chin-Wag with a Yankie.

Roughly translated means

Good day to you. A Polite conversation has no difference between contenental masses. user added image

Ok, I have just found out something interesting.
The file was going really slow for some reason so i exported the model into another file. When i opened it i noticed thet the proportions looked different. I realised that the camera atributes had been modified in the other file so the last couple of renders have been using a strange camera setting.

So... Here is a quick render useing a better camera setting.
I have only slightly tweaked it so i still have heaps to go.

My tafe course is good, just discovered booleans and how to use them, just to let you know how my skills at maya compare, your teaching me my friend.

I'm not blaming my modeling skills on the camera (I think thats what you said!)
It's just that i noticed a difference when i put in the new one.

Also, how much (If you don't mide me asking) does it cost to get a Tafe course. And also, do i need to go through VCE (Year 11+12) to do it? Or do i even need to go?

maaaaate, I was joking about the camera, I'll have to be more careful, e-mail is easily misunderstood.

TAFE course is $150 with student concession which you have. I do it on line, sort of. i get 10 weeks worth of work on a DVD to do and i can take it back weekly or when i finish. I can e-mail the tutor (he's a friend of mine I met on an AFTRS course) if i have and questions. You don't need any qualifications except an interest in Maya.

My tutor ? I'll e-mail you his -mail address and you can mention me and ask about the course and the best way that is convenient for you. No mate I didn't mean you blamed the camera, I'm truly sorry about that misunderstanding.user added image

No probs about the camera thang. E-Mail is easily misunderstood especially if you can hardly understand it in the first place user added image

Thanks about the tafe course info. I'll check into it later.

Dude can you do me a favour, could you post an ortho view from the side and front, I'm still having a little trouble viewing your perspective cam shot, what lens is that you are using, it doesnt look like a 35mm

Cheers
