hi everyone, i thought i would try out this W.I.P forum and post this little creature im making. i havent used maya that much but have self taught myself for the past 2 months while working. but still hope you enjoy it and any comments are welcome.

it worked, guess the pictures before were just too large. well anyways this is a small clay model i made and i thought i would try to make it im maya with a few changes. ill post more very soon

started model

ok so i started the project today and got fairly far. i used polys and then converted into subs. well this is what ive got so far

well ive been working on this character for a bit today and have basically finished the basic shape of him and now really just need to mirror him and then im off to texturing user added image

hey
got into mental rays for a bit, bought the basic tutorial for it and i LOVE Mental Rays!!! it makes everything look so much better well here are a few up dates

still have some small modelling left to do such as the nose and the teeth but other than that the modeling is done and im gonna start experimenting with som textures next

Woah! Thats looking good, I really liked the clay model(good teeth). Keep goin with him, and Im hoping to see a good skin on him sometime soon user added image

got into texturing a bit. have to admit though that i am really crap and am doing tutorials for uv's but not through it yet so im gonna try to do this one using what maya has to offer in hypershade and see what it will look like.

oh and yes, errethakbe im gonna try to go for a more cartoony look for it as i think it would probably suit it more LOL
