Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

I've been making a kind of bubble energy blob for a uni project, I used the blobby surface particles with a high threshold and some turbulence, although I guess for just a bubble you wouldn't need the turbulence. For the shader I found one on highend3d.com, then fiddled with it to get the desired result as it looked too glassy at first.

you could model it shade it and then simply instance it.

What type of animation are you looking to create?

Do you want to emit bubbles?

Or do you need just a few hero bubbles of geometry that may or may not be dynamic?

Just wonderinguser added image

Well I know how to do realistic bubbles. I did blobby surface particles then I adjusted my water shader(refraction 1.33 to 1.3) Then made the thickness to like .2 or .15 Then adjusted the size ,speed, added gravity, air drag and some turbulance...
The thickness makes it look very realistic need to somehow add a rainbow effect and something like when the bubbles hit the ground they pop.. Well hope my newbie tweaking helped..
