Sine deformer

Hi everyone,

I am currently trying to use a sine deformer to animate a snake whose end is attached to another surface. I have put a spline IK Handle on the joints and put a lattice on the curve. I am using the offset to make the snake 'wiggle'.

However now i have the problem that I do not want the end of the sine deformer to move. I have been messing around with the dropoff but that does not seem to yield the required results. Is there any way to only apply the offset to only parts of the curve so the last CV stays 'locked'. Sorry if I am confusing people here but not sure how to describe it any better.

I would appreciate any help, anyone could offer.

Thanks!
