Default Add frames to animation

Once again I need help

My problem this time is how to add frames to an animation so that it runs slower. My situation is that I have an animation that is 1000 frames long, however I think it runs to fast. I would like the exact same things to happen, only slower. If I, for example, would like the animation to run at half the speed, I would like to have 2000 frames, and what previously happened at frame 200 will now happen at frame 400.

If I just extend the animation to 2000 frames I get 1000 frames where nothing happens

Double the framerate but compile the animation with the original framerate. That should do it...

I had that idea myself, but it seems like there should be some other way. If one wants to make the animation 10% slower or something like that.

How do I double the framerate and compile at original speed by the way.

Well, the other way would be extending the length of the animation and then scaling all the keys (for example in the graph editor) and stuff to fit the new range. Can be tedious if you have a complex scene with expressions and stuff...

Doh. I was sure there was a custom setting for the framerate. It seems that there isn't. My mistake... sorry...

At least you had a good idea. That's what counts

Well, until someone comes up with an extremely clever way of doing it I'm thinking of rendering the 1000 frames, and when putting it together to a movie decrease the framerate a bit. A decrease by 2 frames per second will give me an almost 10% longer movie, and hopefully not at the cost of smoothness.
