Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

oh very interesting user added image so it is the hardware that determines what kind of stuff you can capture? i always thought firewire was like usb, just a slot to plug stuff in and was the actual camcorder or whatever that did the job

is it possible to record from the computer onto the camcorder tape using firewire?

The only way to get footage onto a DV camcorder via FireWire is to compress the footage to a DV movie. This is where programs like Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and DV Express come in. DV is just another codec that is specific to DV camcorders.

FireWire can also be used to connect hard drives. In that sense, it works like USB only a million times faster. user added image
