Beer glass scene creation
This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Yes these sort of things do get said in a studio or by a client....

The best one I ever had said to me was, 'Like this, but different'.....duuuuh!!!

Those are all great Jay. I am going to keep these as a reference.

I particularly liked the one where you pointed out colors are going to look different if you watch them on non-broadcast color compliant devices and the response was....

Look! I just want it to look right regardless of what the user watches it on!

LMAO.

My favorite one that I've received personally: "Don't bother lighting it, just do an ambient occlusion pass. Done."

I think one of the worst ones of late, and its not really very funny, but head of look dev telling the modeling and texturing depts that we wont be needing uvs on any of the models, because procedurals are awsome, only to have head of 3d agree with this too, unfortunately it shot us all in the foot as I had previoulsy forwarned it was bullshit and would comeback to haunt us - lo and behold it did!!

I thank you

erm...no.

Trust me you needed to be there to experience the bullshit and arselicking that was going on, even my VFX supervisor sat with me and said in these actual words, 'I wish people would do their f******* jobs properly and stop discussing things to death'

The phrase 'discussing things to death' is a regular thing where I come from. The simplest of answers or tasks seem to just get out of hand...and into the hands of the wrong people
