How to straighten geometry?

Hi all-

I have some geometry that's really not even and I was wondering if there was an easy way to fix it (attached is a picture). I tried moving all the vertices individually but that both takes forever and it isn't precise. Is there an easy, precise way to make perfect rectangles out of all these weird lopsided shapes?

no auto-magic way but you could use two point ep curves and snapping to help align things. your next best option would be scripting but for such a simple case that would take more time then just fixing it manually or building it straight and square to begin with.

You could grab all the verts on an axis and use the scale tool to get them all level. Then move that set to where you need it. This would have to be done on each axis. You will have to do this by section starting from the top or bottom and working top to bottom or vice versa

there is a solution but with some efforts from you:

You can choose the vertices you want to become on flat plane.

and use this script to flatten or co-plan your choosen vertices.

^ I agree with the scale tool. You could select the axis and snap each vert to match a master vert.
