I agree with kev it does look beefier in the sketch. The body especially needs to be thickened up a bit. I really like so far though.

Ps. In the render whack up the antialiasing to production quality. That will get rid of the jaggies you are getting on the edges.

I had trouble getting sarted with texturing too...
There should be a free "Getting Started" texturing tutorial, wich deals about the UV Texture Editor and aplying projection mapsand stuff...

Took me quite a long time to figure out...

yeah it's much better now!! I think that your propellor blades' edges are too hard. Try bevelling them a bit to get a better look.

WHy not get one of the VIP texturing tutorials and have a look at that to get an idea about texturing?

LOL! By "beefier" I dont think they meant to just render it. :p

What they meant was, try to make the body a bit thicker, give it more mass. Right now, it looks a little on the thin side. Think of it in terms of helicopters. Right now what you have is one of those classy, corporate choppers when what you want is one of those bad ass APACHE helicopters. user added image

by the way. got a link to that concept artists site where you got that pick from?
