Mac Maya Set Key Driven Truncation

Mac Mayans

I think I posted this little problem before... but when using Mac Maya 3.5.1 and Set Key Driven the type in the dialogue box truncates... Short of getting version 5 for Maya user added image which I cannot afford at the moment user added image does anyone know if this 'lil' problem has been fixed, or if there is a way of fixing it!

Many thanks

I have not noticed any behavior like that in Maya 4.5.

Hiya Dannygan

Thanks for the reply, I haven't visited the Simply Maya Forum for a while been doing lots of other things... but I just wanted to use Maya on a Mac - must be mad!

Anyway I checked with AW and this type truncation problem is due to the fact that Apple release new versions of OSX too quickly and Maya 3.5.1 is not supported on OSX 10.2!

Oh joy! Still I know it's going backwards but I don't care for some strange reason I am enjoying using 3.5.1 on me Mac and that's what it is all about!

Well, in my experience, 4.5 is noticeably faster and more stable than 3.5.1. Also, the renderer is much better. But, if 3.5.1 is working for you, cool! user added image

Well, let's put it this way I am learning Maya again - especially texturing in Hypershade which I cannot get me mind round - the reason I ain't got 4.5 is I aint got the dough... at the moment... Jigsaw also want £1,000 = VAT or so to uprgrade to version 5 when they have it in stock user added image

Time to rob a bank I think:banana:
