Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

duplicating after binding

Hi,

I was trying to duplicate this model so that I could create blenshapes for the facial animation.

But when I duplicated the model, I was unable to move it.
Is that because I already did a bind on it?

Is there a way to duplicate it without having to unbind it?

thanks.

When you duplicate a model that has been skinned (ummm, that word seems a bit awful), all transform are locked (greyed out in channel box).

Since it is locked you can't move the duplicate. Select all transform attribute that greyed out, RMB and unlock them.

When it is unlock you can move it as usual.
