Autodesk drops perpetual licenses and brings Arnold in line with its other rental only software packages. The change takes effect on April 30th 2018.
Users will now have the option of subscribing on an annual basis for $600 or get the monthly plan for $65.
As with Autodesk’s other software 3DS Max and Maya, existing perpetual licenses will still remain valid after the new subscription only policy takes over. Autodesk will continue to provide perpetual license holders with maintenance plans so that they can enjoy the benefits of software upgrades and support while retaining their perpetual license rights.
